glow in the dark cotton candy

it looks magical :o

I have been away from my Tumblr for awhile. It has changed a little bit….

“Beautiful video of a magnetic field introduced to a shallow dish containing ferrofluid.”

“At a night market in Taiwan, an ingenious street entertainer swiftly draws a complex dragon figure using caramel, then puts it on a stick and makes it into a lollipop. Would you eat it… or keep it?”

I don’t know how I didn’t know that this existed. I’ve loved Threadless for YEARS and their shirts make up the majority of my regular attire, but, I had no idea that ThreadCakes existed! This is possibly a good thing because it gives me much archived content to peruse through - all the way back to 2009! The majority of them are quite impressive.

more than a little hungry today … everything sounds so good and looks delicious!

London-based artist Zadok Ben David created this incredible installation using 12,000 cut steel botanical specimens modeled from old textbook illustrations, each embedded in a thin layer of sand. On first encountering the sprawling array of plants they appear completely black, thus the installation’s title: Blackfield. However when viewed from the opposite side, a field of black turns to color.

here is a flickr for photos of the installation.

Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori paints goldfish that appear to be three-dimensional by using a complex process of poured resin. :gasp: breathtaking

I have seen these a few times lately and every time I still think they are real fish! Because people really cast real fish (and all sorts of other animals) in resin blocks to preserve as specimens and use as educational models blah blah blah - they are available for purchase at your local internet. (where is PETA?

- anyway… check out a photoset of his work on flickr and …

WATCH THIS MESMERIZING VIDEO OF HIS PROCESS…
